Help me make your custom enamel pins!

Howdy, I’m a Mechanical Engineer from Texas A&M who has worked as a manufacturing engineer for a half-decade.

I have prototyped a process that can create custom designs cost-effectively for small orders of 1 to 20 pins. Making custom designs affordable to:

• Members of local clubs & events.
• Display cutom artwork.
• Personalize trophies and badges.
• Promote church & business events.
• Order completely customized pins for large groups of people.

What is an enamel pin?

Enamel pins are small & sturdy decorations that you can pin onto fabric & stick onto metal. They are made from a metallic core - finished with fine metals such as gold, copper, nickel, or rhodium - and are colored in with uniform, glossy enmaled paints.

What makes my production different?

• My process specializes in small batch production. A single order will start at $20 rather than $70+ required by mass manufacturers.

What will the enamel pins be made of? What are the initial design contraints?

• The enamel pins & coins will be full metal bodies.
• High quality enamel paints will be used for coloring designs.
• The exposed metal can be electroplated in copper, nickel, rhodium or gold.
• All products will be varnished multiple UV resistant clear coats for longevity.
• The pins & coins can be any shape of flat areas, pockets, or shallow embosses.
• Pockets can be filled with any single color
• A design has no limit on the number of colors, and no costs for using more colors.
• Designs can be as small as 1/4" – 6 mm – or as large 12" – 30 cm. Design features can be as small as 3 thou or 0.1 mm.

  • Each product will be coated multiple coats of a sturdy varnish. The varnish is easily repairable by anyone, so wear may be fixed at home.

  • Using only non-toxic & cheaply recyclable metal alloys.
  • Using only non-toxic pigments.
  • Capturing and neutralizing or safely disposing of all fumes & particulates from coating processes.
  • Zero chromium and chromates in any of the coatings, processes, or alloys.
  • No petrochemical or purely synthetic polymers. Keeping to plant-derived resins in the supply-chain eliminates sources of plastic additives currently suspected for the toxicity of microplastics.
